LAST week was not a happy one for Yelverton Bowling Club.
On Monday two ladies? triples entered the County Benevolent Competion. One team lost in the first round while the second, which had a bye, lost in the second.
Tuesday saw the ladies in a friendly home match against the Elizabethans which they lost and the same result was recorded by the men who had a County Trophy Match against Peverell Park in the evening.
The ladies? league away match against Civil Service Blues which should have been played on Wednesday was cancelled due to the weather.
On Thursday evening 25 youngsters turned up from Meavy School to try their hand at bowling but again the weather took its toll.
The Sunday mixed friendly away match against Plymouth Sir Francis Drake was cancelled due to their inability to provide a team.
