EAST Cornwall Harrier Sharon Daw enjoyed triple success in races in the last few weeks.

She was the first lady across the line in the Trelissick 10 kilometre race. Sharon arrived late but just in time to register for the race near Truro, which was held in the grounds of the National Trust property.

It was a great performance by Sharon who was the first lady in a field that drew more than 230 runners — aged between 16 and 25.

She saw an off road beautiful scenic run with a few tough hills, beating two of her rivals and leading most of the way.

The Brown Willy run on New Year's day saw the annual pilgrimage to the Jamaica Inn, Bolventor.

Conditions for the runners on the hilly Bodmin moor saw a frosty, cold morning.

The moorland run of six miles is not a race but the scramble is highly contested.

Sharon beat her team-mate and regained the cup for a fourth year.

On Sunday Sharon was in Dawlish, East Devon, for an 11 mile off road event. There were lots of hills, woods, mud, water with the frost managing to thaw just in time, which made the going good.

Sharon was delighted to win the ladies' event for the first time in a usually very competitive race.
