THE pastor of the Inspiration Church has has a busy diary ahead of the publication of his new book.
Mike Davies, also an Okehampton town councillor, was the guest speaker at a weekend conference in North East Scotland in September, speaking on the role of the church amid a worldwide financial crisis.
On the weekend of October 15 and 16, he spoke at a conference in Kiev in Ukraine on the need for the church to reposition itself and to address issues of alignment. He was the main speaker on the Saturday and spoke at some of the local churches on the Sunday.
Last weekend Mr?Davies travelled to Calgary in Canada to be a part of the Unite to Ignite conference. The event is being co-hosted by three Canadian churches.
He said: 'It is great to see so many churches growing and at such fast rates. As we move more into making Christ relevant in an ever changing world, we are seeing the younger generations with a thirst for seeing church and community transformation.'
Mr?Davies' new book, 'A Generous Heart' looks at the role of individual Christians living in a time of global meltdown. It is due to be released at the end of November.
