WORK on a new footway and traffic management measures in South Tawton and Sticklepath is due to get underway in March. The Community Travel Plan will cost £30,000 to implement and will introduce a new gateway and road markings at Sticklepath to improve the flow of traffic and include a 30mph limit in some areas. Cllr Bill Cann, speaking after the recent West Devon Highways and Traffic Orders committee meeting said he was pleased the money had been secured for the scheme and thanked South Tawton and Sticklepath parish councils for their work to get the plans off the ground.
