TWO Tavistock locations were in the spotlight this week, for a new TV film based on a short story by Rosamunde Pilcher.

The film 'Wherever You Go' will unfortunately not be shown in the UK but will feature the frontages of the Bedford Hotel and John Baldwin Goldsmiths.

Film producer Elvira Bolz from German-based company ffpnewmedia said this was the fourth of six films being shot out of Plymouth this year and Tavistock was frequently used for street scenes because of 'its architecture and unspoilt qualities'.

Wherever You Go is about two young women, a lawyer from London and a Cornish hotelier, who swap lives.

The film will be shown in Germany, France, Spain and other European countries.
