DJM Horsham Cup St Cleer U18s 1 Tavistock AFC U18s 12 TAVISTOCK started with stand-in keeper Chris Bray ? this was due to a hand injury to regular keeper Mark Webber. Tavistock went ahead with a fine header scored by Sean Cleave. St Cleer then had a good spell which led to a well taken equaliser. A good move down the right involving Ashley Doyle and Nathan Walker led to Sean Cleave scoring his second of the game. Tavistock started to relax and played some great football which enabled Alex Lowe to link well with Ollie Payne and score two goals and Cleave to grab another before half-time. Second half substitute Mike Morgan settled quickly into the defence and had a commanding performance alongside Alex Cuthbert and Andrew Derbyshire. A quick passing move down the centre of the pitch involving captain Euan McCall and Chris Hutchins led to Cleave grabbing his fourth. Jordan Williams? non-stop running was rewarded with a goal. This enabled manager Simon Walker to make changes with McCall taking over between the posts and Bray moving into attack. Matthew Ford was also introduced to the game. The changes did not unsettled the side and further goals were scored by Chris Hutchins and Bray. A silly penalty was given away by the Tavistock defence, but McCall pulled off a great save. Tavistock continued to push and were rewarded with further goals by Cleave and Bray. One final change was to introduce injured regular keeper Mark Webber to the attack for the closing stages. He capped a memorable striking debut with a well taken header which looped over the St Cleer keeper and into the net.
