DAIRY producers are being invited to a farm workshop that is being held on Thursday October 16 kindly hosted by Trevor, Ingrid and Richard Bray of Shernick Farm, Bridgerule, Holsworthy.
The host farm has recently upgraded all its cattle housing facilities and the day will end with a tour of the new buildings. In addition, Ian Ohnstad of the Dairy Group, one of the UK's leading mastitis experts, will talk about milking routine, milk quality and parlour efficiency.
Vet Rob Drysdale from Westpoint Vet Group will talk about the relationship between cow traffic, comfort and flow and cow health.
The day will conclude with a tour and interactive workshop where visitors can discuss parlour routine and cow comfort.
Tea and coffee will be available upon arrival and following the talks and tour, a free pasty lunch will be provided.
