ON a cloudy but dry day at Ivybridge, Tavistock U7s took part in their end of season festival. Clubs from all over Devon were there, and the Tavistock team were drawn with Ivybridge, Saltash, Cullompton, Totnes and Dartmouth. This appeared to be a tough group and it proved to be so with all the games being within a one or two try margin. However, the U7s can be proud of their achievements in this year's festival with two wins (Totnes and Cullompton), two draws (Saltash and Dartmouth) and one loss (Ivybridge). Great tagging and support from the whole team with some good tries from Jude White, Morgan Turnock, Noah Berridge, Noah Gargett, Jason Blake, Jack Smyly, Tom Pearson, and Lachlan Fulton. Tom Pearson produced an inspired run, the whole length of the pitch, past half of the Ivybridge team, but unfortunately tripped just half a yard short from the line. To give credit to Tom, he got right back into the game and scored later on.  Lewis McDowall, Joe Burbage, Olly Noy Scott and Theo Jenkins all provided great support and tagging to keep their opponents pegged back. Jack and Morgan were both outstanding, produced some great runs with the ball and were composed under pressure to make the right pass at the right time. The season has been a great success with a total playing record of P14 W8 D3 L3, and with 12 different players making the scoresheet.
