TAVISTOCK Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club held their annual mixed invitation tournament on Sunday at the Plymouth Road Green.

Although the weather was cloudy the expected rain held off.

Twenty-four teams from across Devon and Cornwall competed for the Tavistock Invitation Cup.

The winners were from Topsham Bowling Club who beat Madeira BC (Exmouth) in a very close final, Callington BC were third and Saltash BC fourth.
