The club beat more than 20 other swimming teams from across seven South and West counties, to reach the regional finals, where it achieved sixth place overall in what head coach Martyn Stacey described as a 'tough' competition.
Tavistock also ranked third in the league division in terms of the number of first places achieved in races throughout the heats and final.
It was an impressive third ranking for the 80-strong club, which came behind eventual finals winner and runners-up Swindon Dolphin and South Dorset Tornadoes.
League rules called for former premier division clubs Swindon and Tornadoes to swim their way up from the third division, after an absence from the competition over past seasons.
Martyn Stacey said: 'It was a tough gala all round, but given the size of our club and the competition we were facing, it was a fantastic result for the club and swimmers.'
The Newport final saw Tavistock's Kieran Rookes win in the 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle in the boys' 13 and under finals. With respective times of 35.56 seconds and 28.10 seconds Kieran also achieved two personal bests.
Kathryn Stacey also came top in the Ladies 100m backstroke (1min 10.18secs) and 100m freestyle (1.00.54).
Both swimmers also put in strong performances in team relay events.
A further eight Tavistock swimmers achieved personal best times during the competition — James Anderson, Emily Attfield, Olivia Bates, Kirsty Best, Michael Best, Kameron Brimble, Matthew Edwards and Cameron McGurk.
Also taking part were Tilly Barnes, Luke Botham, Alex Francis, Holly Gibbs, Natalie Greep, Chloe Marks, Charlotte Mellor, Luke Stephens, Elizabeth Teague, Bethany Thompson, Olivia Walker and Gareth Williams.
Liskeard-based Caradon swimming club was Tavistock's closest neighbour to also make the final and came in seventh. Also competing were Barry, Torfaen, Celtic Sharks, and Bristol Penguins.
