FOODIE fans in West Devon will be in for a treat this month as von Essen celebrates becoming the collection of hotels with the most Michelin starred properties in the UK by taking three of its Michelin-starred chefs on tour.
Shane Hughes from Ynyshir Hall in Wales, Mark Teasdale from Sharrow Bay on Lake Ullswater and Nigel Mendham from The Samling on Lake Windermere will pack up their stars and take them on the road as they showcase the best of British cuisine using the finest ingredients from Devon.
The event, which will run for five days will visit Lewtrenchard Manor on Monday October 25.
Although each chef shares the philosophy of using the finest produce, they each have their own distinctive style. They have created a special tasting dinner and a three-course tasting lunch menu, which feature a selection of each chef's signature dishes.
Cloudy Bay wines will be expertly paired with each dish. Each of the meals will be accompanied by a selection of the vintages, as well as a talk from a Cloudy Bay expert.
