A GASTRO-extravaganza is on the menu in West Devon over the next few days, as dozens of businesses take part in a ?Food Heaven? Fortnight, offering enticing special food and drink deals. Farms, restaurants, pubs, tea rooms, attractions and shops across the borough are offering a menu of delights leading up to Tavistock Food and Drink Festival at the end of the month. ?Food Heaven? special offers include a special meal for one at a knockdown price at the Ganges restaurant in Okehampton, a free glass of wine with your dinner at Morwellham Quay, food tastings, dessert offers and many more discounts. Countryman Cider in Milton Abbot is holding guided tours to see the orchard, mill and press barns with a chance to sample cider and fruit wines and Lifton Farm Shop is offering two cream teas for the price of one. Initiated and led by the borough council in partnership with Tavistock Food and Drink Festival, ?Food Heaven? Fortnight aims to champion the high-quality local food industry in West Devon.
