KELLY College student Tom Bury is celebrating after being offered a place at Queen's College, Cambridge, to read Mathematics.
Tom, from Tavistock, gained stunning A-levels results last August with three A* grades in physics, mathematics and further mathematics, and an A grade in French.
He completed the Ten Tors challenge at all three distances — 35, 45 and 55 miles — played 1st XI hockey and captained the tennis, fives and squash teams.
Tom also completed the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Marathon (twice), gained his LAMDA grade 7 in public speaking, and his Duke of Edinburgh's gold award.
