CUSTOMERS at Okehampton's Waitrose supermarket have given more than just token help to a children's charity.
Donations through the store's Community Matters token scheme have resulted in £504 being presented to the Children's Hospice South West.
Corporate fundraiser Toni Hasler received a cheque on behalf of the charity from Waitrose branch manager Damian Heard.
Damian, who is also manager of the Holsworthy branch, presented it to Toni, with staff member, Alex Boyd, community matters champion (pictured above). The community matters scheme donates £1000 each month between three local causes, which are chosen by customers.
Toni said: 'We are very grateful to Waitrose for their generosity, and of course so grateful to the shoppers who chose us.'
