TAVISTOCK College played host to 13 primary schools from the Tavistock Area Learning Community recently, for the Tavistock College Primary Maths Challenge.
Teams of four pupils competed against each other in four exciting rounds, testing their mathematical, communication and teamwork skills.
The four rounds included a speed maths round, a logic round, a cross number round and a group challenge.
The competition was very close with the unprecedented outcome of a tie for first place.
Overall gold medal winners were St Peter's Junior School and St Andrew's Primary School.
The bronze medal winner was Whitchurch Primary School.
