RHS Gardens around Britain will be sharing the best in gardening knowledge during this year's Spring Grow Your Own Weekend, March 24 to 25. A host of activities at the gardens will provide an opportunity for family fun and learning.
At RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington, the focus of the day will be on 'growing for taste' with a wide range of activities to help visitors bring fruit and vegetables successfully from seed to plate whilst retaining their full flavour.
A team of Rosemoor specialists will be giving short demonstrations in the fruit and vegetable garden throughout the day covering digging, preventing pests and disease, seed sowing and growing soft fruit.
In addition, there will be drop-in seed sowing workshops for children in two sessions each day to include making pots out of bio-degradable paper, filling them with compost and planting with quick-growing seeds.
