CASH-STRAPPED West Devon organisations trying to raise money for particular projects in their area will have the chance to meet funding experts at a grants event today (Thursday).

The grants evening, to be held at the Ockment Centre at 7pm, has been organised by the borough council in partnership with Dartmoor National Park Authority, Tarka Country Millennium Awards and other funding bodies.

The aim of the evening is to enable groups and individuals in need of grants to talk directly to fund providers.

Organisations expected to attend the meeting include Devon Rural Transport Partnership, Devon Community Foundation, BTCV People?s Places and the New Opportunities Fund.
