TIDY Tavi volunteers will be taking to the streets for the last time in 2013 this Saturday.
Although the council teams have done a marvellous job clearing up after a truly excellent Dickensian Evening, there is still quite a lot of litter in the streets away from the centre of Tavistock that can be dealt with by the Tidy Tavi teams.
A spokesman for Tidy Tavi said: 'A really good turnout of volunteers is therefore required to spruce up our lovely town for the festive season. If you're one of those folks who have always meant to come along and help but never quite got around to it, why not come and help this Saturday?
'There's no commit-ment to turn out every month, just come when you can. It's completely voluntary, very worth-while and quite good fun!
'All you have to do is meet us outside The Wharf at 9.50am.
'We'll provide litter pickers, rubbish bags and even the latest fashion in high visibility jackets. All you need to bring is a pair of gloves and your own sense of community spirit!'
