OKEHAMPTON Awareness Group, which has hosted more than 100 speakers and numerous workshops during the last six years, is to close its doors for a time of reflection and change. The new Awareness Group will emerge next spring with a brand new format, which it is hoped will entice both new and existing faces. Angela Blezard, yoga practitioner and reflexologist and one of the founder members, said the group had been very successful and helpful to the hundreds of people who had attended the evenings. At a recent meeting, it was decided to change the format from the current Friday evening meetings, to now meet three to four times a year on either a Saturday or Sunday. The revamped awareness days will welcome two speakers one before and one after lunch and invitations will be sent to therapists, stallholders and practitioners. Jacqui Jourdan, press officer for the group, said: ?Due to some of the founder members leaving the area, this is a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in natural ways, complementary therapies and expanding their awareness, to join the group and have a real input into its exciting future.?
