THE next TaVi Network Open Forum will take place on Monday, January 14 at 7.30pm in the Rundle Room at Tavistock Town Hall.
The TaVi Network board has received a number of requests from borough, town and parish councillors that the topic for the Open Forum should be a discussion of potential projects for application for funding from the West Devon Town and Parish (TAP) Fund. This fund is jointly funded by Devon County Council and West Devon Borough Council, is available up to March 31 and amounted initially to £28,139.10. Time to make applications to this fund is fast running out and to date only one bid has been approved – the last chance of approval of project bids is likely to be on or very soon after February 28. Bids have to come from a combination of town and/or parish councils.
TaVi Network invites people to get together to move some projects forward before it is too late. Representatives of the local authorities, the business community, community groups and individuals are warmly invited to attend.
A spokesman for TaVi said: 'It is hoped the local community will grasp this opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas to put some projects together to take advantage of this unique funding opportunity.
