A SUNNY sky and strong winds put these two teams to the test. and Calstock pressured Lewdown from the kick off.
Nick Tilbury scored for Calstock after a few minutes. Calstock keeper Michael Yarwood was back after a rib injury and made an excellent one-handed save at the feet of a Lewdown striker, only to make another shortly after.
Calstock pressured again and Tilbury scored his second.
From a corner shortly before half-time, a shot hit the crossbar and Calstock player-manager Ian Cook scored off the rebound.
The second half saw Calstock begin to struggle, defender Hewitt working hard to clear up.
Lewdown were awarded a corner,that resulted in a headed goal.
A 50-50 ball resulted in Yarwood and an opposing striker sustaining leg injuries.
Towards the end Lewdown were awarded a penalty. It was saved by Yarwood,but he could not hold the ball and Lewdown scored off the rebound.

Lamerton 3
Stoke Climsland 0
AFTER a tight first 20 minutes Lamerton took the lead when a long ball from Sean Cann at right back deceived the Stoke keeper and dropped over him into the net.
The lead was doubled when Wickett converted a free-kick from the edge of the area.
After ten minutes of the second half Wickett latched onto a Paul Cowling through-ball and hit a great volley into the back of the net. With Simon Breyley and Richard Downing dominant in defence and Kev Swift and Andy Coe prompting attacks, further goals failed to materialise.
This Saturday home to Callington in the quarter-final of the Knock Out Cup, kick-off 2pm.
