BRAVE Tavistock woman Linda Elliott leapt from a plane at 15,000 feet recently, to raise funds for the town's museum.
Linda, 70, made the tandem parachute jump at Dunkeswell Airfield near Honiton.
During the jump she was able to experience both free-fall and a controlled parachute descent.
Linda said she found the experience both scary and exhilarating, but experienced a perfect landing.
She said she would never forget the 'thrill of a lifetime' challenge — and is even considering a solo jump some time in the future.
Linda's leap has raised £1,000 for Tavistock Museum funds.
Roderick Martin of Tavistock Museum said: 'The museum is grateful to the instructors and staff at Dunkeswell, and to all who sponsored this plucky lady.'
