South Molton U16s 5 Okehampton U16s 31 BOTH sides had some U15 players to make up their teams and for Okehampton they were Matt Webber, Andrew Fishleigh, James Ewen, Rob Stepto, Huw Draper and Jake Phare, who all mixed in well. James Ewen, at scrum-half, dug the ball out well for Carl Poynton to control through the back line. Stuart Bennie, having his first game at No 8, worked well and touched down a try. Richard Friend, playing out of position in the centre, ran in three tries. Rob Long came on in the last quarter to score one as well. Poynton converted. North Okes U11s 28 Ivybridge U11s 28 OKES met their match in a physical and more switched on Ivybridge side. In a bruising game with end to end rugby, Ivybridge scored first putting Okes under constant pressure. Okes hit back through Luke Liversidge who had an astonishing game in attack and defence. Will Cooper put in some accurate downfield kicks to relieve the pressure. In the second half, the Okes pack started to dominate. Every time Ivybridge scored, Okes hit back to equalise, and crossed their opponents? line three times, but could not ground the ball. Two of Ivybridge?s tries came from quick tap penalties which caught Okes on the hop. Okes finished the stronger with some lovely passing moves from the whole side which showed them at their best. Okehampton U7s 11 Ivybridge U7s 5 A GOOD game with good tagging from Daniel, Joseph and Leon. Okehampton borrowed players from Ivybridge. Four tries came from Leon, three from Joshua and the rest from Ivybridge. Practice 6pm at the rugby club.
