THREE men from the Tavistock area were sentenced last week by Plymouth magistrates after they pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm.
They were convicted following an incident at a kebab shop in King's Street in March, 2011, when police were called after fighting broke out around midnight. Four people were injured, two of whom were taken to hospital.
Joshua Gilgunn, aged 20, was sentenced to a total of 38 weeks at a youth offenders' institute and given an anti-social behaviour order for 30 months; Jay Rice, 20, was given a total of 45 weeks in a youth offenders' institute and an ASBO, also for 30 months; Kade Grylls, 21, was sentenced to 28 weeks' imprisonment, suspended for two years, with a supervision requirement for 12 months.
Tavistock police said the sentencing highlighted the importance of CCTV in the town to collect evidence which helped in convictions.
