COURTENAY Players are producing their next show ?Three for All? later this month. The show to be performed in Okehampton?s Charter Hall contains three one act comedy plays. The first play in the evening will be Inconstant Moon by Philip Johnson, a gentle comedy about a retired actress living on hard times during the 1950s. Her daughter finds it hard to make ends meet and when the owner of the big house comes calling all their problems seem to be solved, but all is not what it seems. The second play is A Respectable Funeral by Jimmie Chinn, which tells the story of three sisters who arrive at their mother?s house following her funeral, to clear the house before its sale. The time in the house reminds them of days past and they are further upset when their brother turns up with a proposal they are not expecting. The final play of the evening will be The Last Bread Pudding by Nick Warburton. This focuses on a small amateur dramatic group meeting and their attempt to rewrite a play so that it will win a prize in a local drama festival. There are plenty of arguments along the way but all ends with music and dance. The plays will be staged over three nights, October 26, 27 and 28. Tickets are £5 each and will include refreshments, they will be available from the Fairplace Church shop in the Arcade from October 17.
