WITH reference to the letter from Mr Podmore (Times, February 19), I agree with all he said but he suffers from an attack of amnesia regarding the previous government. If he considers that they were prudent, he must have been asleep for 13 years. When they were voted out a letter was left saying 'All the money has gone', but the damage done to our country was a lot worse. This ranged from multi-millionaire Tony Blair telling lies and taking us into an illegal war, then talking about the 'Arab Spring' — I wonder what he thinks now? Then Mr Brown lost control over banks and left debts our great-grandchildren will still be repaying. Mr Podmore, all three main parties are not to be trusted, all have the answers until they get into power, then it goes downhill. I have seen nothing in the past 20 years that gives me hope. This is why I will vote UKIP, only because they haven't, as yet, let me down. D P Hunter Tavistock
