ALL the hard work put in by fundraisers and show organisers of this year's Inwardleigh and Folly Gate Country Fair saw the fruits of their labour in a presentation night at the Crossways Inn, Folly Gate.

Presentations of cheques to local causes and the three beneficiaries of £600 each, this year were Inwardleigh Parish Church, Oak Chapel and the parish hall.

Various events had been staged for the villagers of Inwardleigh and Folly Gate, including a Christmas shopping evening, Christmas children's party, a bingo night, an auction of promises, an Easter hamper and an invitation cook book.

But it all culminated in the first Inwardleigh and Folly Gate Jubilee Country Fair.

Everyone deemed all events a great success and plans are now going ahead for next year's event.

Thanks were expressed to Mr and Mrs J Griggs for the use of their fields and a big 'thank you' to all sponsors, Walter Shortage and the Hosepipe Banned and to all involved.
