THIS was one of the better Thistles' performances of the season, but again they paid the price for failing to convert chances.
Ian Harvey worked hard to lead the line and Jonny Hake was unlucky to see his shot come back off the post, before Trophyman took the lead from a penalty.
Trophyman doubled the lead following lax marking from a corner, and might have made it three after they were awarded a second penalty, but this was comfortably saved by Jack Haigh.
Thistles worked hard throughout the second half, forcing saves from the Plymouth keeper but could not force the ball over the line, but good defence prevented further goals from Trophyman.

THISTLES recent inactivity has enabled a couple of teams including Elm to move above them in the table. However, Thistles recorded this good win against Elm to leapfrog them in the table.
Yet again this season Thistles kept a clean sheet and from this they had the springboard to score three times in the process deservedly, winning each of the two halves.
The goals came from Berryn Phillips direct from a corner; Ed Allen with a superbly executed free kick and Tommy Goswell with a close range effort.
