THISTLES started brightly dominating possession and creating several good chances to open the scoring.

However, it was a rare attack from Beacon that saw them score when Thistles defence slipped in their concentration. Tom Warren scored the Thistles equaliser with a really well worked goal. The home side pushed for another but good saves by the Beacon keeper kept them out until half time.

Thistles settled down in the second half and played possession football. Dan Poole got his first Thistles goal before Tom Warren scored with a stunning strike. Thistles never looked troubled in defence and continued to apply pressure on the Beacon goal, which led to one of their players putting it into his own net.
