OKEHAMPTON started brightly with Simon Bourne coming close to scoring and Luke Miller pulling the strings in midfield.
After 20 minutes Josh Speak broke the deadlock with a well taken goal form a short corner.
Tavistock then stepped up their game and were level by half-time. Okehampton regained the lead early in the second half with a strike from Mike Reynolds.
But Tavistock were not to be beaten with a quick equaliser and a penalty.
Okehampton tried to find another goal, but Tavistock were more than a match for anything they had.
