BERE Alston and Bere Ferrers Brownies and Guides are again offering a Christmas post service. For 15p each, cards can be delivered anywhere in the Bere Peninsula. Postboxes are located in the Lanterna at Bere Ferrers and in the butcher?s, chemist and John Brown?s shop in Bere Alston. Deliveries start from December 19. A late-night Christmas shopping opportunity will be available at the Lanterna stores, Bere Ferrers on Thursday December 16. Everyone is welcome and will be greeted by Margaret and Allan with mulled wine and mince- pies.
