AFTER an explosive season last year, where they were unbeaten in the South West (Devon & Cornwall) division 3, Tavistock Ladies? rugby team are hoping for dynamite again this year.

Newly promoted to division 2, they have also been given a new identity. The team has joined forces with a relatively new side from North Tawton and will be known as TNT Combination.

The ladies face some long journeys for games, as far as Cullompton, Brixham, North Dorset and Redruth next season, all of whom have gone from strength to strength in the last couple of years. Training has begun, alternating between Tavistock and North Tawton on Tuesdays at 7pm. The girls would be delighted to see some new faces to strengthen their numbers whether they have played rugby before or not.

TNT Combination would also like to start up an under 16s side, so anybody from the age of 14 up would be welcome to come along on a Tuesday night.
