CALLINGTON Police are appealing for witnesses after large building materials were taken from local premises. The first incident occurred at a farm in Callington between Sunday, May 13 at 5pm and Monday, May 14 at 11am. A copper tank and 100 concrete blocks were stolen after thieves gained entry into the premises by smashing two windows. Crime ref: BN/07/268. The second incident occurred in Higher Metherell between Wednesday, May 9 at 5pm and Wednesday, May 16 at 8am. Entry was gained to the building site by lifting the steel fence. Thieves stole a concrete mixer and the plastic dome heating oil tank, costing £650. Crime ref: BN/07/273.
