ALMOST 100 children enjoyed a fantastic Christmas S:CAPE fun day recently at Tavistock Methodist Church.

Jokes, party games, crafts, painting, a party tea and the story of the meaning of Christmas were all part of a fun-filled morning for infants and afternoon for junior aged children.

Run by the Family Work Team at the Methodist Church, the community event was deemed a great success and a fitting close to a packed term of activities.

Family worker Chris Harding said: 'It was wonderful to have a huge, fun and exciting children's event focussed on the real meaning of Christmas — Jesus!'
