THE final EX20 lottery draw of 2000 took place last Friday with the lucky first prize winner celebrating the New Year £78.80 richer.
Winner of the top prize was M Porter, of South Tawton.
The second prize winner was Mrs Cook, of Okehampton, who scooped £39.40.
Mike Gibson, of Okehampton won the third prize of £9.85 and the fourth prize, also £9.85, was won by Betty Ashcroft, of Okehampton.
There were 394 contestants entered in the draw, sharing a total prize fund of £137.90.
The lottery, which is open to anyone in the EX20 area, provides players with a chance of winning the weekly draw, while raising funds for deserving, local causes.
The lottery was launched at Okehampton Show in August by Cllr Christine Marsh, the town's mayor.
