I AM writing to thank everyone who supported the Spring Fair held at the Ockment Centre Hall on Saturday March 18.

My particular thanks go to Tracey, Robert, Jean, Jenny, Clare, Marie, Lin, Jan, Stella and Amanda. They carried, collected, stuck up balloons and bunting, and signposts. This was in addition to the (wo)-manning of stalls and the serving of refreshments.

Thank you to all supporters who contributed to the various charities and good causes that held stalls at the fair. We also had a wonderful cake stall and my gratitude goes to the talented cooks of the district. I very much appreciated the good wishes from people who couldn't attend but sent a cake anyway.

With all your support the Ockment Centre is now over £116 better off and all the other charities seemed happy too! Thanks to Derrick for help with our arrows, they really made a difference.

We had such a great time that we might do it all again in the summer!
