THE Queen's Head, Albaston, did it!  in less than a week of accepting the challenge to raise money to fund Jessica Tait's Olympic torch there was an amazing response both from donations of prizes and ticket sales by the local community.

Greg  and Sue Foxwell, of the Queen's Head, announced on Sunday at the special edition Easter raffle that a mindblowing £330 was raised in just a week, showing Jessica how much support she has in the local area and how proud they are to be represented in the Olympic torch relay.

Jessica, lost for words on the evening, was amazed at the amount of money that was raised for her and said she will bring the Olympic torch to the pub with the accessories to show how much this all means to her.

Jessica and her family would like to say a huge thank you to the local community, the Times and the Queen's Head pub for helping us with raising the money that we would have struggled to do on our own.
