I WOULD just like to say a huge thank you to the many teams and spectators who took part in the sixth Son-Rise Cup for Autism Football Festival. The atmosphere was full of fun and kindness. There were a few upsets when teams lost but the most amazing feeling of team work and love. The Football Association Respect banner was displayed and the ethos touched the heart of the event.

Crowndale football pitches were in excellent order and a credit to the many people who have worked hard with the Crowndale area over the years.

This was well appreciated by visitors from all over Devon. A huge event and such fun!

Well done all the teams, young, older, able and disabled, you were brilliant!

A huge amount of thanks must go to the organisers and in particular, Allen Lewis and his wife, Sheena.

Thanks to the local businesses that sponsored the event.

I was given the honour of presenting the awards at the sixth Son-Rise Cup for Autism on Sunday May 22. This event was enjoyed by thousands.

TAVISTOCK Red Cross members wish to thank all those who so kindly gave to our recent annual flag week appeal. The total of £2,393.41 collected will help towards covering the cost of the many services we now provide for the public in Devon.
