IT was a busy day for Okehampton's junior team of Thai Boxers Jordan Gale aged 11 and 12 year-olds Sammy-Jo Luxton and Anya Barrett as they competed in The Muay Thai Celtic Championships in Bolton.
All three representing Devon. Anya participated in a five round demonstration bout against Jess from Rama Gym in a fine display of Muay Thai moves.
Sammy-Jo Luxton from North Tawton had her first contest against Charlotte from Unity Gym. Sammy dominated every round with her strong techniques and in round four she proved to be too skilful for her opponent to carry on and won by technical stoppage!
Jordan Gale from Okehampton took on current English champion Kian from G-camp in five, one minute round contest. This was only Jordan's second fight, and against an experienced opponent. The contest went the full five rounds at a fast pace with both boys exchanging techniques before Jordan was announced the winner , and became the new Celtic English champion!
Not a bad day for chaos's fight team , who will be competing , and defending in January on the next show.
