THREE Mid Devon Hunt Pony Club 'first timers' had great success at the Eggesford Pony Club's tetrathlon at the weekend.

Emily Colling, Kate Bilton and Jasmine Aven were all entering a full tetrathlon for the first time and they did superbly, with two firsts and a third. In the assisted class, Jasmine was entered in a team with two Eggesford PC boys, William Thurgood and Charlie Wildman and they did superbly to win.

In the Novice Junior class Emily equalled her personal best in the pool and then rode beautifully cross country to ride herself into third place in the class and a team win.

Kate, in a highly competitive mini girls class, she followed up a pb in the pool with a wonderfully calm round that saw her finish with just two stops.
