THEO Pahlsson from Bradstone Grange, Bradstone, Tavistock moved to South Africa in 2010 to try to become a playing golf professional.
On Sunday Theo, aged 24, (pictured receiving his trophy) won the Royal Cape Open, one of the biggest amateur tournaments in South Africa, nearly breaking the tournament record score!
Theo is based in Cape Town with Jonathan Hobday, a senior international South African golf tour professional.
The talented golfer is now hoping to qualify for the professional Sunshine Golf Tour beginning December this year.
Theo remains a member of Launceston GC and is a previous member of Tavistock GC.
