Okehampton Cup First Round Halwill 3 Okehampton 1st 4 HALWILL opened the scoring within five minutes when ex Argyle striker Andy Winser latched on to a free kick and calmly slotted the ball wide of Malcolm in goal. Okehampton responded on 15 minutes when a long through ball found Robbie Miller, who headed to the feet of Steve Kinsey to level the score from 12 yards. On 22 minutes James Williams played a superb ball out of his own half to Kinsey. He turned his marker well and lobbed the keeper for his and Okehampton?s second. At this stage it was all Argyle and on 25 minutes Robbie Sandercock lobbed the keeper to increase Argyle?s lead. Halwill refused to be beaten and Winser added a second when he used his strength to shield the ball and finish well. Halwill?s keeper Phil Wannacott pulled off some superb saves to deny Miller and Kinsey. This seemed to inspire Halwill and they levelled when again Winser hammered in a powerful shot that Malcolm could only palm away ? this allowed the striker to hammer in the equaliser. Okehampton regained the lead when Philip Evans found himself with some time and space 30 yards out. He hit a screamer of a shot that ended up in the top corner of the Halwill net, Argyle were unlucky not to add a fifth when a good move involving several players ended with a Mark Burdus shot coming off the crossbar. The second half failed to produce any goals but the action flowed from end to end and both keepers were kept busy. Okehampton had James Williams carried off with a knee injury and had to rearrange their defence, bringing on Neil Agnew. Okehampton played the last 15 minutes with ten men after Mathew Mortimore was shown the red card for a dangerous challenge.
