aAN exhibition of Suky Best's evocative artwork, 10 Journeys, will be on display in the tea rooms at Castle Drogo's visitor reception.
The artworks illustrate the daily travels of 10 Dartmoor residents. The aim was to try and evoke the feelings of these journeys, the small details people notice as the season and light changes, the pleasure that reaching a certain point brings.
Suky filmed these journeys and then broke them down into individual frames and sequences, teasing out tiny sections of particular interest.
This Aune Head Arts (AHA) exhibition is a co-production with the Digital Art Development Agency.
Funding was provided by the European Social Fund, Year of the Artist and National Lottery through the Arts Council of England.
Suky's artwork will be on view until May 28. The tea rooms are open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm. Admission to the tea rooms is free.
