THE singing talents of staff at Tavistock Primary School could be on show once more this month — if enough money is raised at the summer fayre to persuade them to perform.
Headteacher Jo Flynn said a surprise rendition of 'Summer Loving' from the hit musical Grease at a talent show held at the school last term proved such a hit, parents have challenged the teachers to take to the stage again.
Mr Flynn: 'The parents thought it was brilliant, so we've said if enough money is put in a bucket on summer fayre night, we'll do it!'
The summer fayre, always a big fundraiser for the school, promises to be a great event for children and adults alike, with a big raffle, displays, loads of stalls, food and drink, a beer tent — and perhaps the singing teachers!
The event will be held at the school at 6pm on Friday June 11.
