MUCH time and money has been spent on making Okehampton a really pleasant town and money contributions have come in from many sources; from our large stores, from shops and local groups, and from every council tax payer in the district.
A few people may still not realise how much has been given towards our Okehampton improvement scheme.
So, should we not be able to name and shame all those idiots who think it fun or clever to be destructive?
Whether it is a hoax 999 call, or some mindless pea-brain exercising their god-given strength on breaking down a newly planted tree, or wooden statue.
We expect a certain standard of behaviour from our own ?nearest and dearest? and every toddler should be taught ? hopefully ? the difference between right and wrong.
Teenagers are no longer little children. They are old enough to ?stand up and be counted?.
The law may not allow them to be named, but parents rule at least until the age of 16 years.
