AN East Cornwall teenager has just embarked on a two-year sports studies course in the capital, thanks to a boost from a local charity group. Georgina Reed, a 16-year-old from Callington Community College, has been sponsored with a cheque for £100 from Callington Rotary Club to help her through a two-year national diploma in sport course at Kingston College in London. A keen and talented footballer, Georgina has been selected to train with Chelsea Ladies? Football Club and will play one competitive match each week with them. She plays as a centre back and her favourite Chelsea player is John Terry. Georgina, who gained five As, three Bs and three Cs in her GCSEs, hopes to gain a distinction at Kingston before moving onto Loughborough College for a degree course in physiotherapy.
