MILK Link, the UK's largest cheese manufacturer and leading dairy co-operative, is celebrating the winning of 180 awards for its cheeses in 2009, by displaying its portfolio of cheese and milk products at Anuga — the world's leading show for the retail trade and food service/catering market, to be held in Cologne Germany, next week.
The awards won in 2009 included Taw Valley Creamery's mature cheddar being named Royal Highland Show Supreme Champion.
The Milk Link portfolio consists of superb tasting British cheeses including Cheddars produced at three creameries in England, Scotland and Wales; regional territorial cheeses produced in Cheshire; and Stilton produced in Melton Mowbury.
Simon Mercer, head of export at Milk Link, said: 'Milk Link products have surpassed themselves in 2009 with these fantastic award wins, and we are excited to showcase the range to 250,000 key people from the international food industry at Anuga.
'This is the largest international trade show for food products, so a fantastic opportunity for us to build our business, meet our existing customers and new ones. We are excited to be able to present our range and creameries to such an important audience.'
