THE early season swimming competitions continued when Tavistock duo Kirsty Best and Gareth Williams travelled up to Millfield, Somerset to compete in the Western Counties ASA Sprint Masters event on 25/09/2011.

The event which fields teams from six counties meant a small but strong competition for both Tavistock based swimmers.

Kirsty achieved four gold medals in four races, notching up some good early season times along the way.

Gareth who featured in five races on the day secured three gold medals, one silver and one bronze.

Since this competition took place, it has been confirmed from the early season form that three Tavistock Swimming Club members have been selected to represent the Devon Masters Team in Bristol next month with Michael Best joining Kirsty and Gareth.
