TWO Tavistock sisters braved the shave last week to raise money for two cancer charities.
Becky Hurle and Sarah Parkes shaved off their locks to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Clic Sargent, which have been a great support to the family after Ivy (pictured), daughter of Becky and Jake Hurle, was diagnosed with cancer in January this year, when she was only two-years-old.
Ivy has since undergone two operations and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Together the pair managed to raise the magnificent sum of £1,000.
• A fun day to raise funds for Ivy and her family was held on Sunday at the Red and Black Club in Tavistock which raised £1,500.
Organiser of the fun day Will Stuart said: ‘The fun day was to raise money for the family and it was a great day. People came together despite the weather and showed so much love and generosity to make such a big difference to such a beautiful little girl and family.’
