AT a charity street collection held in Tavistock on March 17 by Roger Mechan on behalf of St Luke’s Hospice £180 was collected. No expenses were deducted from this total.

In May the 69-year-old retired Plymouth policeman will be walking 500 miles along the north coast of Spain to complete 2,500 miles walked on his way to raising a combined total of £25,000 for St Luke’s Hospice and Help for Heroes.
